Moeen Ali continued his impressive form in the Indian Premier League with a six hitting blitz for Royal Challengers Bangalore against home side Kolkata Knight Riders.

The Worcestershire all-rounder and the Rapids Vitality Blast captain smashed 66 off just 28 balls in the high-scoring encounter.

It followed on from his half century and two wickets in the previous game against Mumbai Indians.

Moeen hit six sixes and five fours and shared in a third wicket stand of 90 in just 7.1 overs with Virat Kohli against the Knight Riders.

He was eventually third out with the total on 149 and Kohli went onto complete a century as the Challengers amassed 213-4.

Runs continued to flow freely when the Knight Riders batted but they fell just short of their target on 203-5. Moeen bowled one over for 13 overs.

Royal Challengers remain bottom of the table with two wins from nine games.

Moeen and fellow England players involved in the IPL who have been selected for the initial ICC World Cup squad will return home at the tail-end of next week to prepare for a hectic summer.
