Moeen had a modest return in the series with the bat, scoring 59 runs in five innings for an average of 14.75. His highest score was 21 not out in Port Elizabeth.
Alex Hales, with five 50 plus scores in the series, was England's highest run-scorer with 383 followed by Joe Root (351).
Worcestershire 2016 overseas player, Kyle Abbott, finished as South Africa's second highest wicket-taker with eight in four games.
He had overall figures of 37-2-193-8 at an average of 24.12 and an economy rate of 5.21.
Moeen and his team-mates now switch their attentions to the final leg of the tour with two T20Is against the Proteas.
England have a warm-up T20 against South Africa 'A' on February 17 followed T20Is in Cape Town (February 19) and Johannesburg (February 21).
