Charlie Morris produced a five wicket haul for Worcestershire Seconds who went down by four wickets to the Unicorns in a low-scoring Second Eleven Trophy encounter at Challow and Childrey CC.

Morris returned his best figures of the 2016 campaign with 5-38 from his allotted 10 overs which he bowled straight through after taking the new ball.

It was an encouraging haul for a player who has picked up 96 County Championship wickets during the past two years and is striving hard to recapture his best form.

But Unicorns were able to reach their modest 67 target with 30.5 overs to spare after putting Worcestershire into bat.

Zen Malik (11) and Alex Hepburn (10) were the two players into double figures as the Seconds were bowled out for 66 in 29.4 overs.

Matthew Kiernan (4-13) and Matthew Coxon (4-20) did most of the damage for the Unicorns.

Morris did his best to pull the game around for his side and at one stage the Unicorns were reduced to 29-4 but they managed to get over the line.

Hepburn was the other wicket-taker for the Seconds and finished with 1-11 from 7.1 overs, four of which were maidens.
