Charlie Morris did not feature in the final two matches of the MCC tour of South Africa because of a minor injury and illness.
The Worcestershire paceman played in the opening three games against a Crusaders X1, KwaZulu Natal X1 and a two-day match against a Western Province Cricket Association X1.
But tour manager Angus Fraser confirmed Morris had suffered "a slight thigh strain" against the Western Province X1 and had not been pushed to play in the matches during the second phase of the 14-day trip.
Morris was also one of several MCC players who suffered a bout of illness ahead of the match with St. Augustine in which Worcestershire spinner Brett D'Oliveira picked up four wickets.
The Hereford-born player had played his part in the wins over a KwaZulu Natal X1 and Western Province.
He bowled a tight final over to help MCC squeeze home by three runs against the KwaZulu X1 and picked up eight wickets – four in each innings – during the nine wicket victory over Western Province X1.
Morris was not included for the games against St. Augustine and the Western Province Academy – both of which were won by the MCC who ended the tour with four wins from five games.
But Fraser confirmed that the final game of the tour – another game against a Western Province X1 in Paarl – has been cancelled "because of injury and illness to some of the MCC party."
