Matt Henry joins Worcestershire today with Charlie Morris believing the New Zealand paceman will be "a great addition to the squad."
Henry is flying in to become the County's main overseas player during the first half of the 2016 campaign.
He has broken in the Black Caps squad in all formats of the game during the past 12 months and impressed in the tour game against Worcestershire last summer.
Now he is linking up at New Road for his first taste of county cricket.
Morris, in action today in the friendly with Warwickshire at Edgbaston, said: "I've seen Matt on TV and he played against us last year in the tour game and everyone was really impressed by what they saw.
"He is a great addition to the squad. He bowls quick pace, swings the ball and has got really good skills.
"He is someone that is going to really strengthen our squad – especially early season on wickets that are going to probably be doing a bit more.
"To have that seamer early season, I'm sure will help us to get off to a good start.
"He has made a really big impression with New Zealand and to have someone coming in who is doing really well on the international stage presently is brilliant and can only strengthen the side we have.
"He is still young and I'm sure he is going to crack on and continue doing this with New Zealand for many a year."
Morris believes it will be beneficial for the County to have that extra depth in the seam bowling department.
Last season Morris, Jack Shantry and Joe Leach bowled the bulk of the overs after the recurrence of Gareth Andrew's injury setback.
Morris said: "We love doing the overs, the three of us, but having Matt there coming in will be a great addition to make sure we are all firing and we all keep fresh and are able to sustain the pressure on the field throughout each match and throughout the early part of the season and onwards."
