New Season Marks New Opening Times On New Road Matchdays

The new season is nearly upon us and excitement is mounting with the opening Specsavers County Championship match against Kent at New Road just over two weeks away on Sunday, April 10.

There will be an impressive new set of gates to greet car owners at the main entrance near to the Graeme Hick Pavilion which will help to increase security at the stadium.

And for the 2016 campaign the County have announced new admission times on matchdays for entrance to the ground.

Members, supporters and car owners – including those with car park passes – will now be able to gain admission to New Road a full 90 minutes before the start of play.

For matches where play gets underway at 11am – primarily Championship and tour games – the ground will be open from 9.30am.

For games where plays starts at 10.30am – chiefly in the Royal London One-Day Cup – the New Road gates and turnstiles in The View will be open from 9.00am.

For the NatWest T20 Blast, for games which begin at 2.30pm, the ground will be open from 1pm and for the matches which start at 5.30pm, spectators and car owners can enter New Road from 4pm.
