It’s just a few days until New Road welcomes a bumper Bank Holiday crowd on Monday, August 28, as part of an initiative to attract families to four-day cricket.
But anyone wanting to take advantage of the scheme – on day one of the Specsavers County Championship clash with Gloucestershire – needs to do so swiftly by visiting the official Worcestershire CCC website as there are only 200 tickets left, and no tickets will be available on the day.
The idea has stemmed from the Worcestershire CCC Commercial Team wanting to attract the T20 crowd to the longer format and give them a reason to give it a try.
Paul Biggerstaff, Sales Executive, said: “It’s great to see so many new customers taking advantage of this offer and we look forward to welcoming them to New Road on Monday for what is sure to be a great day.
“With the ground close to being full, there will be no tickets available on the gate on the day so the message to supporters is to act now and ensure they don’t miss out”.
