Only 500 Tickets Remain For Rapids Home Derby With The Bears

If you want to watch the table-topping Worcestershire Rapids hurry up and buy your ticket because only 500 are left for Friday's New Road derby with the Birmingham Bears in the NatWest T20 Blast (5.30pm start).

Skipper Daryl Mitchell's side have made a flying start to the campaign and it has certainly captured the imagination of the public as they aim for a sixth successive win in the competition at the expense of their rivals from up the M5.

Business director Jon Graham is confident the remaining tickets will be snapped up within the next 48 hours and the message is – purchase now if you don't want to be disappointed.

The county's new corporate and business facility The View is already sold out – and just 10 tickets remain in the Watershed Marquee Bar.

For just £35 a ticket in the Watershed entitles you to a match ticket, a free drink on arrival, a complimentary meal, private bar and viewing area and free VIP entry after the match to Bushwackers and Sin.

Graham said: "There is no doubt that supporters have bought into the new Rapids name but they have also been delighted by the great start made to the season in all competitions.

"To win five games out of five in the T20 Blast is a fantastic effort and everyone wants to watch the Rapids and their exciting brand of cricket.

"If you want to come to the game on Friday, there are only 500 tickets remaining and, judging by interest people have already expressed today, I would expect them to be sold out within the next couple of days.

"It will be a great sight to see New Road bulging at the seams and the Worcestershire fans can be like our 12th man."
