Print Of Three Worcs Ccc Pavilions Now Available To Buy

Prints of the painting commissioned by the Worcestershire Supporters' Association to mark Worcestershire County Cricket Club's 150th Anniversary and the Supporters' Association's Blue Sapphire Anniversary can now be purchased.

Worcester artist David Birtwistle, who was commissioned to produce the painting, has signed the limited edition of 150 prints – all of which have also been numbered.

Nearly 30 of the prints have been pre-ordered and they can be purchased for £50 – plus postage and packaging if required – from Supporters' Association chairman Andrew Jenkins on 07582 372566.

Birtwhistle’s painting shows Worcestershire CCC’s Isaac Pavilion at Boughton (1878-1896), the Foley Pavilion at New Road (1898-2008) and the magnificent view south-west across the Graeme Hick Pavilion (2009-) to the Malvern Hills.

Interspersed are other themes, such as the first scoreboard at Boughton, the often flooded original scoreboard at New Road, the classic Supporters' Association built 1954 scoreboard with its Worcester Cathedral backdrop, the more modern scoreboard, and today’s electronic video screen.

Jenkins said: "The print is already proving popular with members and we have pre-sold 28 and other people have expressed an interest.

"David has done a fantastic job in depicting the three pavilions and other relevant buildings in the County's proud history and it would make an ideal Christmas present for supporters of the club."
