Worcestershire Rapids could face former England legend Andrew Flintoff in Sunday's NatWest T20 Blast clash at New Road (2.30pm start).
Flintoff, who retired from playing five years ago, is set to return to action with the Red Rose county.
He has been added to the Lightning squad for their T20 Blast meeting with Birmingham Bears at Edgbaston this evening and is likely to also be in contention for Sunday's showdown with the Rapids.
The game is already a mouth-watering prospect with the Rapids and the Lightning currently level on points at the top of the North Group.
But the Flintoff factor would further boost already healthy ticket sales.
Worcestershire business director Jon Graham said: "People have bought into the exciting and successful cricket that has been played by the Rapids this season.
"But it would be an extra incentive to come along on Sunday if Andrew Flintoff is in line to play – and the fact he is in the squad for tonight means he must be in contention.
"He was one of those players who emptied the bars when he came into bat or onto bowl in the same way as with Ian Botham.
"It would be great to see him back playing on Sunday – just as long as the Rapids win!"
A reminder that replica shirts of the table-topping Worcestershire Rapids are now on sale in the club shop at New Road.
Supporters will be able to purchase the shirts of the North Group leaders during tonight's home NatWest T20 Blast clash with Yorkshire Vikings as well as on Sunday.
The shirts can be bought for just £35 and are the cheapest replica tops amongst the 18 first class counties.
The county's first on-site shop in recent times is doing healthy business with fans wanting to be associated with the success being enjoyed by skipper Daryl Mitchell's side.
They had won six T20 Blast games in a row before last Friday's wash-out against Nottinghamshire Outlaws.
There were record sales during the T20 Blast derby with Birmingham Bears a fortnight ago.
Graham said: "The Rapids shirts are the cheapest replica top I think of all the 18 first class counties at £35.
"We want people to wear the brand and, make no mistake about it, they are quality goods.
"It's about affordable merchandise and we've got that and the shop will only improve and the sales are solid and good."
The shop is situated on the concourse near the turnstile entrance under the Premier Inn restaurant.
