Worcestershire Rapids NatWest T20 Blast home clash with local rivals Birmingham Bears on June 20 is heading for a 5,000 plus sell-out.
The Rapids flying start to the season in T20 Blast – and LV = County Championship cricket – has caught the imagination of the Worcestershire public.
Business director Jon Graham anticipates the 'sold out' signs being displayed at New Road early next week.
And it is a similar picture in terms of the hospitality and corporate packages in The View and the Watershed Bar in the main marquee.
Graham, a lifelong fan of the county, said: "The Birmingham Bears fixture is nearly here and it is the first one everyone looks for on the fixture list.
"Ticket sales are extremely strong and I would anticipate we would be sold out by Monday of next week.
"We are down to our last 1,000 tickets andf if people want to buy, they would be advised to get in sooner rather than later.
"We were sold out last year three days before the game and ticket sales are stronger this year than last year.
"Hospitality is going well and we are looking forward to it. For the Watershed, we've got 50 tickets left out of 240.
"£35 a head gets you entrance to the game, a drink of your choice, chicken tikka masala because it is an Indian theme, and VIP admission to Bushwackers and Sin who are one of our key partners for the T20.
" Those tickets will be gone by Monday and The View is a sell-out. From the commercial perspective, everything is going brilliantly and the team are the driving force for that with their success."
Graham believes the Rapids supporters can play a key role against the Bears. He said: "There is a lot to play for with the Birmingham game. It's always got a bit of edge .
"There is nothing better than New Road and a full house. It's the best ground in the country and with 5,000 people in here with a partizan approach, the crowd can be the 12th man.
"The team are really giving something for the fans to get behind."
