Rapids Still Setting Hot Pace In North Group

super worcestershire rapids are continuing to set the pace in the north division of the royal london one-day cup.

skipper joe leach’s side have won four of their five games and have a 100 per cent record from their three games at New Road.

since the start of the 2017 campaign, their record in group matches is an impressive: played 13, won 10, lost two, tied 1.

the rapids are next in action on friday when they take on nottinghamshire at trent bridge.

meanwhile rapids coaches and players took to social media to praise callum ferguson’s memorable innings of 192 in yesterday’s success over leicestershire foxes at New Road.

head coach kevin sharp wrote: “the best one-day innings i have ever seen royally supported by the batting unit.”

brett d’oliveira said: “lucky enough to have shared a partnership with callum ferguson. unbelievable knock. special day for him and the rapids.”

daryl mitchell echoed those sentiments and wrote: “not a bad chase that. pleasure to watch unbelievable knock from callum ferguson.”

joe clarke summed up his thoughts in one word – ‘wow’.
