Rapids T20 Blast Q-Final Tickets On Sale To Worcs Ccc Members From Today (Monday)

Rapids T20 Blast Q-Final Tickets On Sale To Worcs Ccc Members From Today (Monday)

Tickets for Worcestershire Rapids first ever home quarter-final in the NatWest T20 Blast against Hampshire on Friday, August 14 will go on sale to Worcestershire CCC members from today (Monday) July 27 from 9am.

Members and T20 season pass holders will be able to buy tickets today (Monday) for themselves on-line, via telephone or through Ticketing and Membership manager Amy Francentti in The View Sports Bar at a discount price of £15 (£5 junior members) and also purchase up to another three tickets at a non discount price of £20 (£10 for juniors).

Priority will be given to members from Monday to Thursday and any unsold remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday priced £20 (£10 juniors).

The £15 discount price is £2 LESS than the price of a ticket purchased in advance for a North Group game in the competition this summer.

There were potentially four dates available for the quarter-finals but Birmingham Bears are unable to play on Friday, August 14 because that would clash with the Aston Villa-Manchester United Barclays Premier League fixture the same evening.

And South Group winners Kent have to play on Saturday, August 15 because of the England Women's Ashes Test being staged at Canterbury from August 11 to 14.

Worcestershire Commercial Director Jon Graham said: "Tickets will initially go on sale today (Monday). The process will be that members will get a priority window of four days. Anyone with a membership of any description, including the T20 season pass, will get priority.

"All members will either be able to pay for their ticket on-line – via an on-line process that will only allow members to purchase – through Amy (Francetti) in The View Sports Bar or by phoning during office hours.

"The reason we are extending it to Thursday is because on that day we host the Royal London One-Day Cup game with Yorkshire and it will give people an opportunity to buy tickets when they are here for cricket without having to make a special journey.

"Any remaining tickets will go on general release on Friday at 9am and will be available on line, in the club office or via phone and people can buy up to four non discounted tickets at £20 each."

Graham added: "Because this is a quarter-final, a ticket sits outside of all general membership – from premium membership to a T20 season pass.

"But part of your membership means when we do get to the latter part of a competition and get a home draw, you will be pretty much guaranteed a ticket as a member, another benefit of being a member.

"The charge for a member will be £15 – £2 less than an advanced ticket for a group match – and £20 for non members so it is not like we are looking to charge an extortionate amount of money.

"As a member you can have one discounted ticket (£15) and buy up to three non discounted tickets (£20) so if you are a member and want to bring your family then you can do that. For juniors members tickets will be £5 and for non junior members £10."
