Rapids T20 Match Day Experience One Of Best In Country

Rapids T20 Match Day Experience One Of Best In Country

The Worcestershire Rapids match-day experience for NatWest T20 Blast games is right up there with the best in the country – and that's official!

A survey of more than 32,000 people who attended T20 Blast matches last summer showed that only Nottinghamshire Outlaws are deemed to be better than the Rapids at giving the spectator what he or she wants when attending matches.

It represents a rise of three places on Worcestershire's fifth place finish in the 2013 survey and they were only 0.1 of a point behind the Outlaws in the final survey results.

Now, with the fixtures for the 2015 season to be released tomorrow (Thursday), the Rapids are determined that anyone who attends T20 Blast matches at New Road during their 150th anniversary year will be even more satisfied with the overall product.

The survey covered all the counties and incorporated every game and spectators were asked to give marks out of 10 about many aspects of their experience ranging from the atmosphere, the view of the cricket, food and drink and length of queues.

Worcestershire Chief Executive David Leatherdale said: "Coming second shows what we've tried to do in the last 12-18 months in making the experience fun and enjoyable and is a reward for the effort put in by everyone to achieve that.

"It incorporates the whole customer experience from picking the phone when dealing with supporters and selling tickets, to how they enjoyed the actual match day event experience.

"It is a thing for the whole club to be proud of and we always take great pride in ensuring members and spectators are well catered for in all aspects of a day out at New Road. It is always high up in our list of priorities."

Nottinghamshire scored an average of 8.5 points with the Rapids runners-up on 8.4 points.
