Worcestershire Rapids quarter-final opponents in the Royal London One-Day Cup have been finalised.

The Rapids will entertain Somerset at Blackfinch New Road on Friday (May 10) starting at 11am.

The sides last met in the One-Day Cup knockout stages in 2016 when Somerset won by nine wickets – in another quarter-final tie – at Taunton despite 81 off 76 balls from opener Moeen Ali and 64 from 81 deliveries by Daryl Mitchell.

Somerset sealed third spot in the South Group after today’s five wicket victory over Surrey at Taunton.

They overhauled Surrey’s 289-9 with 4.2 overs to spare and James Hildreth top-scored with 93.

Somerset won five of their eight group games and finished behind group winners Hampshire and runners-up Middlesex.

The Rapids won six of their eight games in finishing runners-up to Notts Outlaws in the North Group.
