George Rhodes finished as Worcestershire’s leading run-scorer and wicket-taker in the group stages of the Second Eleven Trophy.

Coach Alex Gidman’s side will take on Middlesex in the semi-finals at Radlett Cricket Club next Friday (June 15) with an 11am start.

Rhodes amassed 390 runs from six innings at an average of 97.50 including two centuries.

He hit 124 against Nottinghamshire at Kidderminster and then 135 not out versus Lancashire at Barnt Green plus 87 off the Derbyshire attack at Alvaston and Boulton.

There were also centuries scored by Daryl Mitchell (versus Warwickshire), Ross Whiteley (v Derbyshire) and Jack Haynes (v Nottinghamshire).

All-rounder Rhodes also chipped in with 10 wickets from 50.5 overs at an average of 24.60.

The best individual bowling performance was Charlie Morris’s 5-45 against Nottinghamshire.
