Worcestershire CCC is pleased to announce that Alan Richardson has signed a two-year contract extension to remain at New Road until the end of the 2014 season.
The veteran seamer joined Worcestershire CCC in 2009, and is now the linchpin of the four-day attack. With 73 First Class wickets to his name in the 2011 season, Richardson was named one of five Wisden Cricketers of the Year, one of the sport's most prestigious accolades.
Richardson commented "I'm delighted to have been offered the chance to continue my career at the Club. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far and look forward to playing in a side that continues to grow and improve."
Fellow right-arm seam bowler Nick Harrison has also penned a two-year contract with the Club. The 20 year-old has been featuring in Worcestershire's Second XI and played a key role in helping the team to the T20 finals day at Arundel.
Harrison commented "I am delighted to have been offered a new contract and hope to fulfil the potential the Club believes I have. I am proud to wear the Worcestershire badge and look forward to a successful career at New Road."
21 year-old left-handed batsman Jack Manuel has not been offered a contract extension beyond the end of the current 2012 season. Manuel made his only First Class county appearance for Worcestershire CCC in 2011 against Somerset.
The Club wishes Jack every success in his future cricketing career.
