Worcestershire CCC is delighted to announce that Alan Richardson has signed a contract extension to remain at New Road until the end of the 2012 season.
The 36 year old joined Worcestershire CCC in 2009, and has since become an integral part of the team. His 39 wickets so far this season, including two 5 wicket hauls, make him the second highest wicket taker in LV= County Championship Division One.
Richardson has been instrumental in the team's recent run of good form, having taken a total of 15 wickets in the last two first class victories. He is keen to continue his successful spell through the current season, and to the end of the 2012 campaign.
Richardson said "I am really enjoying my time here at New Road and look forward to carrying on my career at such a great Club."
Director of Cricket, Steve Rhodes, also commented "Alan is a model professional and a shining example for our young players to follow. To have him whole heartedly running in for Worcestershire CCC once again next year is a tremendous boost for the Club. I have the utmost respect for him both as a player and a person."
