Santner Signing Another Good Reason To Snap Up Rapids T20 Blast Season Pass

Santner Signing Another Good Reason To Snap Up Rapids T20 Blast Season Pass

Mitchell Santner's signing as Worcestershire Rapids overseas player for this summer is another good incentive to snap up a NatWest T20 Blast season pass for the 2016 camaign.

NewZealand all-rounder Santner was one of the stars of the recent ICC World T20 in India and he is with the Rapids for their entire North Group programme.

It is another boost to the Rapids hopes of finally clinching a spot at finals day in August after their exciting brand of cricket has clinched three quarter-final spots in the past four seasons including a first ever home quarter-final last summer.

And supporters can watch all seven of those home Group games – starting with Durham Jets on May 20 – for just £80 via the season pass.

That works out at less than £12 a game and is incredible value when compared to advance ticket prices of £19 per match.

Friday night has become firmly established as Rapids night and five of this season's group games will take place on the same evening (5.30pm start) with one other on a Thursday evening and the remaining game on a Saturday afternoon.

Commercial Director Jon Graham said: "The T20 for us has grown massively over the last three years. The Rapids brand now is part and parcel of the fabric of the club which is great and people have definitely taken it to their hearts.

"When we first dreamt the brand up, it was to try and push the overall experience of T20 because it is fair to say we weren't as competitive in T20 then as we are now.

"We are going to keep that but what makes my job a lot easier is the fact we actually play some really good cricket and we win more often than we lose.

"Massive credit to Steve Rhodes for putting together a quality squad and Mitchell adds to that.

"He is a class act. If anyone watched the World Cup, it was plain to see he is a talent with the bat and very effective with the ball."

Graham added: "As far as the Rapids T20 Blast season pass is concerned, £80 is incredibly good value for seven matches and if you buy them on an individual basis, in advance tickets are £19 each so it is a massive difference.

"Compared to a lot of other sports, it represents incredibly good value. Not only are you going to get entertained as far as what we do before the games and in the interval and after the game, the cricket itself is very entertaining.

"I've watched a lot of the Big Bash and the IPL and I think our product is as good, if not better. The England team have won one T20 World Cup and got to the final of another so we are obviously playing a very high standard of cricket.

"If you want to see very good standardof T20 cricket, then the place to come is New Road – and if you want top value for money, then the Rapids season pass is ideal."
