SECOND WICKET FOR FINCH AS YOUNG LIONS LOSE OPENING TEST

Adam Finch had time to collect his second wicket of the game before England Young Lions went down by eight wickets in the first ‘Test’ against Bangladesh Under-19s in Chittagong.

The Worcestershire paceman struck with the fifth ball of Bangladesh’s second innings when bowling opener Tanzid Hasan for nought.

Finch was given just the two overs as Bangladesh quickly reached their modest 40 target in the opening match of the two Test series.

He ended with figures of 1-6 and an overall match analysis of 22.3-6-63-2 after gamely sticking to his guns in spin-friendly conditions.

It was slow left armer Minhazur Mohanna who did the damage in the Young Lions second innings as they were bowled out for 152.

Finch, batting at number 10, was one of his victims as he was dismissed for four for the second time in the game.

But he at least held up the inevitable home victory for 10 overs and 31 balls before he was last out to Mohanna.

He finished with the excellent figures of 6-28 from 25.3 overs and 9-65 in the match.
