Worcestershire Seconds keeper Alex Milton is having a big impact with the bat for Cardiff CC in the South Wales Premier League.
The 21-year-old is currently top of the league's batting averages and is also the competition's highest run scorer.
Worcestershire Academy product Milton has amassed 369 runs in five innings at an average of 123.00 – and his tally includes three centuries.
He scored 115 against Ynysygerwn, 139 versus Mumbles and then 102 not out off the Ammanford attack.
His efforts have helped Cardiff to storm to top spot in the division with three wins, one draw and one defeat – four points clear of Bridgend.
The next highest run scorer in the league is currently Neil Brand on 197 – 172 runs adrift of Milton.
The former Malvern College pupil had previously scored two centuries this summer for Cardiff MCCU against two of the strongest university sides in Loughborough MCCU and Leeds-Bradford MCCU.
Redhill-born Milton hit 102 at Loughborough in a British Universities Premier League fixture and 108 not out versus Leeds Bradford in a two-day game at Usk.
He has made several appearances for Worcestershire Seconds already this summer but will be available on a more regular basis from the end of June after the end of his university commitments.
