Seconds Return To Action In Trophy Clash At Derby

Seconds Return To Action In Trophy Clash At Derby

Worcestershire Seconds return to action after a 11 day break in tomorrow's Second Eleven Trophy clash with Derbyshire Seconds at the 3aaa County Ground.

Alexei Kervezee, who played in Worcestershire's last Specsavers County Championship match with Derbyshire on the same ground a fortnight ago, is included in a 12 man squad.

The former Dutch international has lost his place in the senior side for the current Championship match with Leicestershire at New Road to Tom Fell.

Alex Milton returns to keep wicket after being required recently by Cardiff MCCU who have first call on the services of the former Worcestershire Academy player.

A strong looking squad includes six players with first team experience in skipper George Rhodes, Kervezee, Alex Hepburn, Josh Tongue, Chris Russell and Charlie Morris.

Morris will be looking for another impressive performance as he strives to earn a first team recall after a slight remodelling of his action.

Tongue will be hoping to take another step forward in his return to action after an earlier than anticpated return from a back injury.

He bowled nine permitted overs and picked up two wickets in the Seconds most appearance in the drawn Second Eleven Championship match with Yorkshire Seconds at Scarborough.
