Seconds Wind Up Championship Programme With Derby At Flagge Meadow

Seconds Wind Up Championship Programme With Derby At Flagge Meadow

Worcestershire Seconds wind up their Second Eleven Championship campaign for 2015 with a home clash against Warwickshire at RGS Worcester's Flagge Meadow ground beginning today (Wednesday) at 11am.

They will be looking to continue the impressive form shown against their local rivals this season in the form of two T20 wins at Kidderminster, a 50 over Trophy win at Olton yesterday and having the better of a rain-ruined draw at Barnt Green in a three-day game.

All-rounder George Rhodes will captain the side in the absence of Tom Kohler-Cadmore who led the side for the first time at Olton.

Kohler-Cadmore, Richard Oliver and Ed Barnard, who also played in that game, will instead be honing their skills with the County's NatWest T20 Blast squad ahead of Friday's home quarter-final with Hampshire.

The Seconds are rapidly coming to the end of their 2015 programme with the only remaining games being a three-day match against a combined Kent-Northants team at Northampton (September 2-4) and a four-day match against Hampshire at Kidderminster (September 14-17).
