The days are flying by until Worcestershire CCC return to Specsavers County Championship Division One action at Blackfinch New Road.

It only seems five minutes since we were saying ‘100 days to go’ – and now the figure has quickly gone down to 75!

We’ve had a mini flood, which happily did not cause any damage, and the weather has been cold, wet and windy.

But the opening home Championship game will soon be upon us as the 17 days left in February – including today – 31 in March and the first 27 of April rocket by.

New Head Coach Kevin Sharp and new Head Bowling Coach Alan Richardson have quickly settled into their roles.

They are working flat out with captain Joe Leach and the players and leaving no stone unturned in preparing for the 2018 campaign.

Nottinghamshire will be the first visitors to Blackfinch New Road on April 27 for the start of the four-day fixture.

It is a battle of the two promoted teams at the end of last season.

Tick off ’50 days to go’ on March 8 and ’25 days to go’ on April 2!

Almost before you can say ‘Worcestershire, Division Two Champions and Royal London One-Day Cup North Group winners’ the action will have returned to Blackfinch New Road.
