Six Of The Best During 2016 From The Two Joes

Six Of The Best During 2016 From The Two Joes

Joe Clarke and Joe Leach both handed out six of the best for Worcestershire during the 2016 campaign in taking the major individual honurs.

Clarke scored six first class centuries – including five in the Specsavers County Championship.

And new captain Leach completed six five-wicket hauls in all cricket – five of which were also in the Championship.

Clarke accumulated 1,000 runs in a campaign for the first time and has earned a third England Lions call-up this winter.

He scored a career best 194 in the final Championship match of the season against Derbyshire at New Road.

In all cricket, he passed the half century mark on 11 occasions – a figure matched by Daryl Mitchell after a vastly improved second half run of form during the second half of the campaign.

Leach finished with 65 Championship wickets – the highest tally in Division Two – and also scored six half centuries, often making runs when the County needed them most.

His best haul of 2016 also came in the final game with 5-60 versus Derbyshire.

Here is the full list of first team fifty plus scores and five wicket hauls in all first team cricket played by Worcestershire in 2016.
