Worcestershire CCC can confirm that following ongoing difficulties obtaining a visa for Pakistani international Sohail Tanvir, he will no longer feature in the Club’s 2012 Friends Life t20 campaign.

 

David Leatherdale, Chief Executive, commented, “It has been well documented that obtaining visas for overseas professionals is becoming more and more difficult, particularly with the amount of time international players spend away from their home Country, and we are very disappointed that Sohail won’t be joining us.

 

“However, with just four matches remaining in the group stage of our 2012 Friends Life t20 campaign and still no guarantee that the visa process has been completed in Pakistan, his stay with the Club is no longer practical.

 

“We thank Sohail for his efforts in doing everything he could in order to obtain the visa and wish him every success in the future.”
