Tom Fell is currently Worcestershire's leading run-getter in the LV = County Championship and is targeting completing 1,000 runs in a season for the first time.
Fell heads into tomorrow's match with Somerset at Taunton on 759 runs from 12 matches including two centuries.
He said: "The form has been pretty good so far. One of the things I wanted to bring into my game was a bit more consistency and it's nice to back up good scores with more scores, something I was looking to do.
"There is still a long way to go in the season (four games) and it's really important for me to keep this going.
"I am aiming for 1,000 runs for the season which is probably more than I would have expected. There is a lot of cricket to play and I've got to keep going.
"Yes, 1,000 runs was one of the targets. With the different level (in Division One), I thought it would be tough to get, which obviously it still will be.
"It's just being able to back up for the rest of the season what I have done so far."
