Twohig Claims Only Wicket As Hain And Lamb Hit Centuries In Derby

Spinner Ben Twohig picked up the only wicket for Worcestershire Seconds on the second day of the Championship match with Warwickshire Seconds at Flagge Meadow.

Sam Hain and Matthew Lamb both scored unbeaten centuries and featured in an unbroken fourth wicket stand of 277 as Warwickshire closed on 390-4.

The only batsman to be dismissed today was Alex Mellor (32) who was caught at leg slip by Alexei Kervezee in Twohig's first over.

Hain resumed on 25 not out and finished unbeaten on 176 from 299 balls with 14 fours and he has so far batted 402 minutes.

Lamb ended on 146 not out from 217 balls with 22 boundaries.

Worcestershire skipper George Rhodes used eight different bowlers but they were unable to add to Twohig's success on a flat wicket.

Warwickshire will go into the final day with a lead of 103 although rain is forecast tomorrow morning.
