Worcestershire CCC members and supporters can once again look forward to a feast of international cricket with EIGHT days being staged at Blackfinch New Road next summer.
The ECB have announced that the County will host an Under-19s ODI tournament featuring England, India and Bangladesh in late July.
England Women, Australia and Australia ‘A’ are also in action at the County’s headquarters – the latter two against Worcestershire – and it promises to be a summer to savour.
With Worcestershire involved in seven Specsavers County Championship matches, four Royal London One-Day Cup group games and seven Vitality Blast fixtures, it means Blackfinch New Road will stage at least 47 days of top notch action in 2019.
The Under-19 tournament will see England taking on India (July 21) and Bangladesh (July 22) with the other two teams doing battle on July 24.
It may give County supporters the opportunity to see some of their promising youngsters in action as paceman Adam Finch and batsman Jack Haynes have both been recent regular members of the squad.
The international action kicks off on June 9 when England Women face West Indies Women in an ODI at Blackfinch New Road.
On June 25 Worcestershire will play host to Australia ‘A’ in a 50 over encounter as part of their tour of England.
The Under-19 tournament will be followed by one of the highlights of the summer for Worcestershire fans with the three day tour game versus Australia from August 7 and 9 in between the first and second Ashes Tests.
