WCCC Ladies Day raises funds in Aid of Noah’s Ark Trust

Worcestershire County Cricket Club’s annual Ladies Day took place at New Road on Thursday 28th July in aid of local charity, the Noah’s Ark Trust. Over 240 ladies, and a handful of gents, dressed up in their finest attire, for what is considered to be the most glamorous day in WCCC’s diary.

Organiser Jodi Brandwood, said “I'm really pleased we have been able to help a local charity that works so hard to make a difference. We raised £3,900 through ticket sales, proceeds from the raffle, auction and donations on the day which is a great effort. ”

Gabby Beddows, CEO at Noah’s Ark Trust said ‘It was such a lovely day and a delightful way to raise awareness of our support to bereaved children in the County. Thank you to Jodi and to everyone who took part in the day and gave so generously, we could not provide our service without the continued support of members of the local community.’

Guests enjoyed a Pimms reception before taking their seats outside the marquee in the sunshine to watch Worcestershire v Somerset in the LV= County Championship match. A buffet lunch followed by afternoon tea was also included. Exhibitors Tina Iacovelli, Nails by Jo, Just Scarves, VIE at home and Forever were also in attendance and flowers were provided by Jayne Pugh’s “Flowers by Design”.
