Westbury Top Scores For Hay Park Seconds But Is On Losing Side

Worcestershire Academy opener Ollie Westbury followed up five wickets against Dalyellup Beach by top-scoring for Hay Park in the Bunbury and District Cricket Association second grade match with Colts.

But his efforts were unable to prevent Colts from romping to a seven wicket win with more than 27 overs to spare.

Westbury, who has played first grade cricket for the majority of the winter, had scored 29 and returned 5-46 from eight overs in the second grade clash against Dalyellup the previous week.

Against Colts, he opened the batting and scored 79 off 121 balls with three fours after Hay Park had elected to bat.

Hay Park looked well placed at 121-2 at one stage to post a challenging total.

But they eventually closed on 163-9 from their allotted 50 overs with Westbury eighth out at 158.

It proved to be an insufficient total as Colts made light work of their target and scored 166-3 off just 22.4 overs.

Westbury bowled five overs for 28 runs.
