Whiteley And Sixers Hoping For Upturn In Fortunes At New Venue

Worcestershire all-rounder Ross Whiteley and his side Sylhet Sixers will be hoping a change of venue means a change of fortune when they return to Bangladesh Premier League action tomorrow.

The Sixers set off at a scorching pace in the T20 competition and won their opening three matches at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

But a switch to the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka has coincided with a run of just one point – from a wash-out – in five games.

The Sixers are now clinging onto the fourth and final spot which ensures qualification for the knockout stages as they move to the Zahur Ahmed Choudhury Stadium in Chittagong.

They will take on Chittagong Vikings at that venue tomorrow (November 24) and then Rangpur Riders four days later.

The stadium has a capacity of 22,000 as the group stages approach their climax.

An eliminator and then two semi-finals will decide which teams eventually contest the final in Dhaka on December 12.
