Ross Whiteley's recent fine run with the bat has propelled him to the top of the Worcestershire CCC averages in the LV = County Championship ahead of today's clash with Sussex at New Road.
Whiteley's ability to transfer his white ball form into the four-day format has produced scores of 101 against Yorkshire at Scarborough, 34 and 78 against Nottinghamshire at New Road and 78 not out against Somerset at Taunton in his last three games.
Tom Fell is the County's leading run-scorer in the LV = CC going into the final three games of the campaign with770 at an average of 36.67.
He is just ahead of skipper Daryl Mitchell who has amassed 715 at an average of 42.06.
Wicket-keeper Ben Cox is the third Worcestershire player to have scored 500 plus runs this summer – 658 at 36.56.
On the bowling front, Joe Leach is the leading wicket-taker with 52 in 11 matches and the all-rounder, Jack Shantry and Charlie Morris have taken 143 wickets between them in 2015.
