Preview:

Worcestershire will look to try to bounce back from the defeat against their local rivals Warwickshire. There were some positives from the first match but it did highlight the step up in standard between the two divisions. Worcestershire played well for the early sessions of the match but one poor session on the second day allowed Yorkshire back into the match and they were able to take full advantage.

Alan Richardson bowled well and was unlucky not take more wickets in the first innings and Damien Wright looked dangerous in his first spell. Matt Pardoe batted sensibly in the first innings on his First Class debut.

Warwickshire will come into the match full of confidence after their comprehensive victory over Somerset last week, even without their two England batsmen. Mohammad Yousuf looks set to make his debut for Warwickshire during the match. Worcestershire will be keen to make amends for their opening match.
