WORCESTERSHIRE WOMEN’S RAPIDS MAKE SWITCH FROM 50 OVER TO T20 MODE

Worcestershire Women’s Rapids are back in action this weekend with the emphasis now switching to T20 cricket for the next month.

They will be competing in Division Two of the ECB Vitality Women’s County T20 competition in four double headers on successive Sundays throughout June.

The Rapids, who were relegated from Division One at the end of last summer, will launch their campaign at Old Hill CC on Sunday (June 9).

They will take on Durham – beginning 10.30am – and then do battle with Devon starting at 16.30 with their two rivals meeting at 13.30.

The other home fixture will conclude their group programme when they face Somerset (10.30am) and Derbyshire (16.30) at Himley CC on June 30.

The Rapids will be looking to continue the form they demonstrated in the latter stages of the 50 over competition.

They defeated Cricket Wales and Somerset in the space of 24 hours before picking up six bonus points against Essex.
