Worcestershire's players are taking a break from training and action today before concluding their tour of Abu Dhabi with three successive days of cricket.
The squad arrived last Wednesday and have been put through their paces by Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes and coaches Matt Mason and Kevin Sharp via three days of warm weather work.
They have also played two matches, defeating a UAE X1 by 48 runs in a 20 over game and losing by just six runs to Derbyshire in a 50 over contest.
Opener Richard Oliver has been in prime form with innings of 103 and 63, skipper Daryl Mitchell has registered back to back half centuries and there have been two promising knocks from Tom Kohler-Cadmore.
On the bowling front there was a three wicket haul against Derbyshire from all-rounder Gareth Andrew in his return from a lumbar pedicle fracture in his back.
Worcestershire will play a two day red ball game against Derbyshire on March 11 and 12 on the Zayed Nursery ground.
The two teams participated in a game of a similar nature in Abu Dhabi 12 months ago with both sides batting and bowling for one day apiece.
The county will wrap up the tour on March 13 with a 50 over contest against Middlesex at the same venue.
The squad will fly back to Heathrow on March 14 and then begin their preparations for the programme of warm-up games in this country before the opening LV County Championship match against Yorkshire at New Road on April 12.
The first of those games is against Gloucestershire at New Road on March 25, 26 and 27.
