Following the signing of Graeme Cessford as part of the RAF's Elite Athlete Programme, Worcestershire CCC is delighted to confirm that the RAF is now an Official Partner of the Club.
During the 2013 season you will notice the RAF logo, not only on Graeme Cessford's bat, but also on the collars of Worcestershire CCC's playing kit for all formats. Worcestershire CCC's Business Development Director, Jon Graham, commented "We're delighted that the RAF have committed to becoming a partner and shirt sponsor for the 2013 season following the secondment of Graeme Cessford.
"We have high expectations for Graeme and hope his genuine pace will unsettle plenty of opposition batsmen.
"The players are incredibly proud to wear the RAF logo on their shirts and will take plenty of inspiration from the affiliation with this world renowned institution and the standards of excellence they represent, if the lads can mirror these standards we won't go too far wrong.
"Commercially the partnership between Worcestershire CCC and RAF will ensure there are many unique activities, experiences and promotions at New Road throughout the season that will fulfil both organisations objectives. Graeme will be visiting a number of schools in the Worcestershire area between matches talking about the importance of health, fitness and wellbeing all of which are hallmarks of what the RAF stand for."
Group Captain Ian Tolfts, Head of RAF Recruiting said "I am delighted that the RAF is working with Worcestershire CCC. Through this unique partnership the excellence of the RAF and Worcestershire CCC can be celebrated. Corporal Graeme Cessford's secondment to the Club for this season highlights the huge opportunities that are available to personnel who join the RAF - a force that seeks to inspire and encourage all its personnel to maximise their own personal potential."
