Worcestershire Academy will again be competing in the Birmingham Premier Cricket League Graham Williamson Trophy this summer.
They have been drawn away to Shrewsbury in the first round of the 50 overs a side tournament which is to be played on Saturday, April 13 (12.30pm start).
If the Academy are successful in that fixture, they will face another trip in the second round to face the winners of the Ombersley-Walsall encounter.
But unlike previous seasons, there is no plate competition for first round losers in 2019.
It is the third year in a row that Worcestershire have entered the competition and it provides valuable experience for their crop of youngsters in a competitive environment.
The draw for the first two rounds of the competition is:
Match 1 – Moseley v Kenilworth Wardens
Match 2 – Shifnal v Smethwick
Match 3 – Ombersley v Walsall
Match 4 – Shrewsbury v WORCESTERSHIRE ACADEMY
Match 5 – Barnt Green v Wolverhampton
Match 6 – Knowle & Dorridge v West Bromwich Dartmouth
Match 7 – Berkswell v Dorridge
Match 8 – Kidderminster v Warwickshire Academy
Match 9 – Winners 1 v Winners 2
Match 10 – Winners 3 v Winners 4
Match 11 – Winners 5 v Winners 6
Match 12 – Winners 7 v Winners 8
