Ajmal Expects Icc Test Result To Be “coming Soon”

Saeed Ajmal expects to be find out imminently the results of the ICC biomechanics test in Chenai on his remodelled bowling action.

The spinner, who took 63 LV = County Championship wickets for Worcestershire last season, has been banned from international cricket since September.

His action was reported the previous month during the Sri-Lanka-Pakistan Test match in Galle.

Ajmal has been working throughout the winter on a remodelled action and underwent his ICC test 11 days ago.

He tweeted: "Inshallah (God willing) my test result will be coming soon, keep praying for me.

"I'm practising and working hard for my country and my fans."

Worcestershire Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes has already indicated he wants to re-sign Ajmal for the 2015 season if his new action is approved and has held talks with the 37-year-old and his representatives.

Ajmal has been working with former Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq on his new action and underwent two unofficial tests at the ICC centre at Loughborough.

But, whatever the outcome of the test, Ajmal has stressed he will not be part of Pakistan's World Cup squad.
