GLENN AND ENGLAND GEARING UP FOR T20 WORLD CUP CAMPAIGN

Sarah Glenn and her England team-mates will look to bounce back from Tri-Series disappointment as they play the first of three matches building up to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia.

The Worcestershire Women’s Rapids player and her international colleagues face a Cricket Australia X1 in a T20 encounter at the Junction Oval, Melbourne later today (start time 11pm GMT).

It replaces the hoped for appearance in the Tri-Series final but England were edged out on run rate by Australia and India after all three teams finished on four points.

Adelaide will then become the base for leg spinner Glenn and England’s final two warm-up games.

They will take on New Zealand on February 16 and two days later will do battle with Sri Lanka.

The action for real will get underway on February 23 with England’s opening World Cup match against South Africa in Perth.

Twenty-year-old Glenn has taken 17 wickets in her nine appearances for England in T20I and ODI cricket.
