HAYNES AND ENGLAND UNDER-19S FACE SRI LANKA IN PLATE FINAL

Jack Haynes and England Under-19s will be looking to turn the tables on Sri Lanka Under-19s in the final of the ICC Under-19 World Cup Plate competition tomorrow.

The Worcestershire batsman and his team-mates were beaten by the Sri Lankans in the final of the Tri-Series in the Caribbean before Christmas.

Haynes returned to the Under-19s side on Friday after recovering from illness and made 12 in the Plate semi-final triumph over Zimbabwe.

Tomorrow’s match will take place at Willowmoore Park, Benoni.

*Moeen Ali scored seven and bowled two overs for 12 runs as England (346-7) defeated a South African Invitational X1 (193-6) by 153 runs at Paarl.
