Moeen Ali has helped Multan Sultans to head the Pakistan Super League at the half-way stage of the group stages.

The Worcestershire CCC all-rounder and the Sultans have started a mini break from the action after playing five matches in nine days.

They have won four of those games and head the table by two points from Quetta Gladiators after defeating them yesterday.

Moeen, the Rapids Vitality Blast captain, has scored 94 runs in five knocks in what is his first taste of Pakistan Super League cricket.

The 32-year-old achieved a top score of 65 and has an overall strike rate of 130.55.

Moeen has also picked up three wickets at an average of 19.00 although he has not had many opportunities to bowl.

The Sultans are not back in action until March 6 when they take on Karachi Kings in Lahore.
