MOEEN PART OF DRAFT FOR 2020 PAKISTAN SUPER LEAGUE

Moeen Ali will be part of next month’s draft for the 2020 Pakistan Super League (PSL) – before heading off for a third stint with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The Worcestershire and England all-rounder is one of the top-listed ‘Platinum Players’ in the PSL draft on December 6.

The entire tournament is set to take place in Pakistan from February 20 to March 22 with six franchises participating.

The ‘Platinum Players’ will be those selected in the first round of the draft.

Moeen, the Rapids Vitality Blast captain, has just ended a spell captaining host team Team Abu Dhabi in the T10 League.

The Platinum Players are: Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, Rashid Khan, Dan Christian, Ben Cutting, Chris Lynn, MOEEN ALI, Harry Gurney, Alex Hales, Chris Jordan, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid and Jason Roy, Sandeep Lamichhane, Colin Munro, Hashim Amla, JP Duminy, Colin Ingram, Rilee Rossouw, Dale Steyn, Imran Tahir, Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera, Carlos Brathwaite, Dwayne Bravo, Evin Lewis, Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard

The IPL is being staged in April and May and Moeen is one of 13 players retained for a third season by Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the December 19 auction.

He enjoyed a successful time earlier this year with bat and ball during the 11 matches he appeared in.

Moeen scored 220 runs and achieved RCB’s highest strike rate of 165.41 and also their best economy rate with the ball of 6.76 runs per over in finishing with figures of 25-0-169-6.

Moeen’s team-mates will include India skipper Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.
