Another Sizeable Contribution From Westbury As Hay Park Triumph

Worcestershire CCC Academy opener Ollie Westbury maintained his excellent start to the winter with Hay Park in the Bunbury and District Cricket Association first grade match with home side Dalyellup Beach.

Westbury hit 63 as Hay Park triumphed by eight wickets in a rain affected fixture reduced to 30 overs per side.

It followed on from previous scores in first grade matches of 42 and 111 not out in addition to making 69 in a T20 fixture.

Dalyellup Beach were put into bat and Westbury held onto an early catch to dismiss opener B. Lagana without a run on the board.

He clung onto another chance to end the innings of T. Cooper (29) and bowled one over for 10 runs as Dalyellup Beach made 148-4.

Westbury and fellow opener S. Florance then figured in a fine partnership of 103 before the latter was dismissed for 42.

Westbury followed seven runs later after hitting six boundaries in his knock which spanned 75 deliveries.

But Hay Park went onto complete victory without further loss with nine balls to spare and secure four points.
