ASSOCIATION RAFFLE BLAST FINALS DAY TICKETS DONATED BY COUNTY CHAIRMAN

ASSOCIATION RAFFLE BLAST FINALS DAY TICKETS DONATED BY COUNTY CHAIRMAN

Worcestershire Supporters’ Association have raffled off two tickets for Vitality Blast finals day kindly donated to them by Worcestershire CCC Club Chairman, Mr Fanos Hira.

The Association decided to go ahead with the raffle as a gesture of thanks to their members for supporting the annual Fifty-Fifty competition which costs £20 to enter and consist of four draws each summer.

The lucky winner, who will be heading to Edgbaston on Saturday to support the Rapids in their bid for further Blast glory, is a Mrs Mansfield who lives in Tamworth.

Supporters’ Association chairman, Mr Andrew Jenkins, said: “It was a fantastic gesture by the Chairman to present the Association with two tickets and we were so appreciative of this especially with available tickets being so limited in numbers.

“We are so grateful for the interest Fanos takes in the Association and what we are trying to do to raise funds which then are ploughed into the club for various projects such as the new Marquee and Club Shop.

“As a gesture to the Association members who help us raise funds through supporting functions, raffles and, most importantly, the Fifty-Fifty competition, from which all profits go into the Ground Development Fund, we decided to raffle off the two tickets.

“They formed part of an extra draw at the final Fifty-Fifty draw of the summer and the lucky winner was Mrs Mansfield from Tamworth who was thrilled as she was unable to go to finals day last year through being in America.

“We hope she has an enjoyable day and sees the Rapids retain the trophy.”
