Worcestershire will not be facing Ian Bell in the LV= County Championship Division One derby against Warwickshire at Edgbaston starting on Saturday.

Bell is one of nine England players who have not been made available for the next round of Championship matches following their return from the West Indies.

Fellow Warwickshire player Jonathan Trott has been left to discuss his plans for the rest of the summer with his county following his retirement from international cricket.

Moeen Ali, as was confirmed yesterday, has been given permission by England to play for Worcestershire against their local rivals.

It will be Moeen's second Championship appearance of the campaign after scoring 62 and four and bowling 11 overs against Yorkshire.

Four members of England’s Windies tour party have been made available to Yorkshire to make their first appearances of the season in the Championship against Hampshire at Headingley on Sunday.

Adam Lyth, Jonny Bairstow, Adil Rashid and Liam Plunkett have all missed the first three games of Yorkshire’s title defence.

Bairstow and Rashid have both been included in the England squad for the Royal London One-Day International against Ireland in Dublin on Friday.

The remaining nine members of the West Indies squad – Alastair Cook, James Anderson, Gary Ballance, Bell, Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler, Chris Jordan, Joe Root and Ben Stokes – have been made unavailable for the next round of Championship matches.
