Chance To Purchase ‘kenyon – His Own Man’ On Day One Of Essex Clash

Chance To Purchase ‘kenyon – His Own Man’ On Day One Of Essex Clash

Tim Jones will be selling and signing copies of his recent book 'Don Kenyon – His Own Man' in the Graeme Hick Pavilion between 10am and 11.30am on Sunday – the opening day of the Specsavers County Championship clash with Essex.

Kenyon skippered Worcestershire to their 1964 and 1965 County Championship triumphs and is the County's record run-scorer with 37,002 first class runs.

This excellent publication is priced £15 and gives an insight into Kenyon's life away from the cricket field as well as his sterling exploits on the pitch.

Tim, chairman of the Worcestershire Heritage Group and a Worcestershire Board member, has been delighted with the response to the publication during the winter months.

He said: "The sales have gone very well. I have sold the initial amount of books I was given by the publishers and have a new batch now available while the publishers have also sold a significant amount of copies.

"There has been a lot of interest from as far away as Australia but a great number of 'Worcester Exiles' from all over the country have also been purchasing them."

If you are unable to attend Sunday's session, then copies can also be ordered from Tim by making cheques payable to T Jones (plus £2 postage) or are available from his home at 8 Edge Hill Drive, Perton, Wolverhampton, WV6, 7SW.

Tim can be contacted via his email timajones405@aol.com or via phone on 07890 138682.
