Joe Clarke again showed his liking for batting at Kidderminster but Worcestershire Seconds came off second best on the second day of the Second Eleven Championship match with Leicestershire Seconds.
Clarke, who made his senior debut in last week's LV = County Championship match with Hampshire, top-scored with 78 after last season scoring 222 on the same ground v MCC Young Cricketers.
He hit 14 fours in his 102 ball knock and shared in a third wicket stand of 115 in 27 overs with George Rhodes after Worcestershire had resumed on 30-2 in reply to Leicestershire's 305.
But once the pair had been parted, the visitors dominated the remainder of the day.
Clarke was caught behind off George Corbett and Rhodes edged to first slip off the same bowler after resisting for two and a quarter hours for his 28.
Seven wickets tumbled for 44 runs as Worcestershire collapsed from 136-2 to 180-9 and then last man Graham Wade was bowled off a no ball by Chappell before adding 23 with Darrel Williams (18).
Leicestershire had a first innings lead of 102 and openers Aadil Ali and Ebsen Kurtz put on 163 in their side's second innings.
Skipper Shaaiq Choudhry broke the stand by trapping Kurtz lbw for 71 but Ali completed his century by the close in making an unbeaten 103 off 174 balls with one six and 12 fours out of 214-1 – an overall advantage of 316 going into the final day.
