Joe Clarke continued his fine pre-Christmas form when South Perth CC returned to action with an eight wicket success over home side Freemantle in a Western Australian Cricket Association first grade clash.
The Worcestershire wicket-keeper hit an unbeaten 60 off just 48 balls with four sixes and five fours as South Perth reached their 224 target with 7.2 of their 50 overs to spare.
The England Under-19 player has now scored four half centuries in six first team innings for South Perth and his latest knock was his highest score to date.
Freemantle elected to bat and were bowled out for 223 in exactly 50 overs with Clarke taking two catches.
Clarke came to the wicket at 115-1 and saw his side through to victory.
His other half centuries came against Melville (55), Subiaco Floreat (52) and Scarborough (57).
Clarke is still also eligible to play for the South Perth Colts side and the following day hit another half century in the three wicket win over Wanneroo District CC in a WACA Colts League encounter.
Wanneroo were bowled out for 143 in 46.4 overs and then Clarke, who again batted at number three, made 61 off 98 balls with one six and four fours.
When he was fifth out, South Perth only needed 14 more for victory which was achieved with 3.5 overs to spare.
