Joe Clarke's superb unbeaten century against Sussex has propelled him to the top of the Worcestershire batting averages in the LV = County Championship.
The 19-year-old needs one more run to reach 500 in the LV = CC in his debut season of senior cricket and is averaging 41.58 from his nine matches with one century and four fifties in 13 innings.
Tom Fell is the leading run-scorer with 802 from 14 games and he – like Clarke – has just signed a new three year contract at New Road.
Skipper Daryl Mitchell (730) and Ben Cox (693) are the other main run-getters this summer.
On the bowling front Joe Leach, another player to sign a new three year deal, and Jack Shantry lead the way with 54 and 50 wickets respectively.
Fellow paceman Charlie Morris needs six more wickets from his final two games to also clock up a half century.
